TAKE AWAY
Foods from around the world have always been popular in our country for centuries, as migration surged and communities such as Little Italy, Chinatown, along with the Turkish, Kurdish, Cypriot’s that traditionally make kebabs grew and many others have followed in which all through hard work, dedication, entrepreneurship, their restaurants arguably serve us with authentic dishes which allowed us to experience a variety of foods from all over the world.
So, with our ever-busy society, the convenience of eating and drinking as we go about our daily lives has paved the way for takeaway culture to become deeply embedded in the UK.
The mini photographic project is about the aesthetics of the takeaway shops, and the similarities across the shop fronts in which they all try to entice us in some way to consume their foods.
